Our Town

Trust already lives in your town. We built the plan around it.

Every health plan is held together by relationships. Most are held by price and paperwork, and they can break at every renewal. Our Town is built on four local bonds that get stronger the longer they last.

The four bonds

  1. Physician and patient.

The oldest trust in medicine. Our Town does not step between a doctor and a patient. VxtraCARE helps with price and where to get care. The medical decision stays with the physician, where patients want it.

  2. Physician and employer.

In every market, the first employers are physician practices, many with 100 to 200 people on staff. The physician sponsors the plan. When a doctor tells a neighboring CFO, "We did this for our own people," it carries more weight than any ad.

  3. Employer and employer.

Individually, you're a client. Together, you're a market. One mid-sized employer has little pull. Many local employers, grouped by geography, can shape their own network, their own pricing, and their own outcomes.

  4. Vxtra and the community.

Vxtra builds with the town and stays. The employer owns and funds the plan, and our job is to make that ownership work. Our interests line up from day one.

Put the four bonds together and they hold each other up. You can't pull one out and sell it on its own, and you can't build them from a distance. That's why Our Town is built locally, in person.

How Our Town grows

We don't push a product at strangers. Employers join because they saw it work through someone they already trust.

  1. Willing physicians lead.

Specialists commit first, then the primary care physicians they choose, because they want their say in patient care back.

  2. Physician practices join as employers.

Two to four practices in each market become the first proof and the best local references.

  3. Employees feel the difference.

A real person helps them get to the right place for care at a fair price.

  4. Neighbors talk.

The CFO at the next company hears about it at church, at Rotary, or on the sideline at Friday night football.

  5. More employers ask to join.

The local group grows, gains buying power, and outcomes improve. Then the cycle starts again.

Growing at the speed of trust

  • More than one anchor.

Every market has several physician anchors and local governance, so trust never rests on one relationship.

  • We measure trust.

We track physician, employer, and member trust as carefully as we track cost.

  • Density before expansion.

A new market opens only when the last one can serve as proof.

Healthcare is local. Trust is earned. And what a community builds for itself, it defends.
